Immunotherapy

Millennium Cancer Center  >  Immunotherapy

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]What is Immunotherapy?

A treatment that uses certain parts of a person’s immune system to fight diseases such as cancer is Immunotherapy.

This can be done in a couple of ways:

• Stimulating your own immune system to work harder or smarter to attack cancer cells
• Giving your immune system components, such as man-made immune system proteins.
• Blocking the pathways that inhibit the body’s own immune system.

Immunotherapy works better for some types of cancer than for others. It either boosts the body’s immune system in a very general way, or helps train the immune system to attack cancer cells specifically.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][mkd_button size=”” type=”transparent” hover_type=”transparent” target=”_self” icon_pack=”” font_weight=”” text=” For more info, please get in touch.” link=”http://www.millenniumcancercenter.com/contact-us/”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][mkd_booking_form form_request=”yes” form_skin=”light” form_full_width=”yes” form_columns=”1″ form_floating=”no” form_title=”BOOK AN APPOINTMENT” form_button_text=”Book Now”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
