What is Palliative care?
A massive part of our job at Millennium Cancer Center is to realize that the emotions being felt by our patients and their families are real and important. Our approach to Palliative Care is such that it allows people with advanced cancer to maintain a quality of life that is meaningful to them. We also provide support to families and care givers.
The role of palliative care is to:
• help achieve the best quality of life that you can for as long as possible.
• make sure your physical, practical, emotional and spiritual needs are taken care of and catered to.
• Aid you to feel in control of your current situation and make correct decisions about your ongoing treatment and care
• Make every valuable minute of your time count for you and your family.
